Amanda Perez *Music essay thing*

What is something you look for in a female artist? Can the really sing? Are they just on the stage to become famous and get the money? There are a lot of female artists, in this world that sing about life and how things are for them and how they face them. One stands out from the rest this one female has been singing most of her life and making something of herself and showing who she really is and this one person is Amanda Perez. In Her songs she gets deep inside it she talks about what happen to her when she was in love and also she talks about how love can be. She expresses herself different from any other artist.
Amanda Perez was born in Wayne, Indiana were she has been singing from the age of four years old. She grew up around music; her older sister was the one she looked up to the most. Amanda wanted to be just like her sister. At first she was not raised around R&B or pop music, she was raised around Chicana music and she was influenced by her relatives who all were in a band called “The Sombra Chicana USA”. This is where she first experienced her singing passion and playing instruments by four she was playing the keyboard.
The start of her career began with her cousin Mike; they made her first band which was called “The Sombra Chicana USA”. At eleven Amanda was a seasoned musician this is where she began to write new songs and make music to go along with it. She and her band started to get some loyal fans. Amanda says in her biography that she was surprised about how many young kids would rush the stage and sing her music. In high school she got the taste of R&B she joined the schools choir, this is also where she performed at the school talent shows she would also try and shoe her talent at local expos. Amanda won over people with her undeniable singing skills and her energy she had on the stage. This is what led her to win “Junior Vocalist of the Year Female” in Indianapolis.
In 2000 there was a huge change in her life. She met a talent scout that saw real potential in her. Amanda wrote her own music and lyrics, the scout signed her into the company “Power house”. Amanda worked on her music and began to play a laid back type of R&B and hip hop.
When 2001 rolled around her first single came out and it made it on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song “Never” from the album “Where You At’’. Amanda kept going uphill from that she began to have more albums coming out and this is where she got her big break with her song “Angel”. She dedicated this song to her uncle “God send me an angel From the heavens above Send me an angel to heal my broken heart From being in love 'Cause all I do is cry God send me an angel To wipe the tears from my eyes” With this song it got on the top twenty on the American Billboard Charts.

Music Feature

Being a teenage Mommy

Walking in the hall of a high school the first thing you may realize is there are pregnant girls around. Girls that you thought would never be having a child so young. Have you ever wondered what runs through the mind of a teenager that has a child or is about to be a mother?
I wanted to go into my topic and I find out how it is being a teenage mother. I went into the local mall and saw what a teenage mother goes through. When I walked into the mall all eyes looked at me. People would stop and ask me if that was my child and when I would respond yes they would look at me with sadness and asked me if I was alright and had any help with raising her. Now with the guys in the mall that would normally come and see who I was or maybe get my number looked at me as a whole different person.
A teenager who is sexually active has a 50 percent chance of having a baby. Those that use protection have less of a chance of not having a child and that means that they use either birth control, condoms of any type. In high school there are over 80 percent of teenagers that are sexually active 20 percent are either thinking about it or waiting for marriage. In Sierra high school there many teenagers that are pregnant or have a child at home.
Ruth is a senior in high school. She has a young son. She is raising him all by herself. She has no support from the father or from her parents. At this moment she is living with her friends.
Brianana is also a senior, she is not yet a mother but a mother to be she is waiting for her baby to come into this world. Brianana is going to be having help with her boyfriend and family by her side Ruth wanted to have 6 kids and she says after having this one child shows her that being a single parent is one of the hardest things possible and she is done with having kids for a long while.
Now dating when having a child you think would be just like dating if you don’t have a child but for Ruth she says after a week of dating a guy they want to have sex that they just expect it out of her because she has a kid. Ruth is one of the many moms in sierra and her advice is “Wait until you’re done with college because being a teenage mom is very hard “says Ruth. “If I could give any one advice with having a baby in high school it is to just wait until you are completely sure that your ready “says Brianana
Brianna says most teenagers in high school when they get pregnant are mostly shocked at the fact that they are going to have a baby but then they get used to that fact that there is going to be a little one coming. Most of the teenagers in high school will tell you to wait until you are positive that you are ready to have a baby. That having a child at a young age is not the easiest thing to do. You lose your freedom you become an adult faster.

Determine SAS

Source:Dolores Davis
Authorty:She is the couch that couches the STEP team
Subject:the STEP team and there practicing

Step Couch Dolores Davis yells at the team members to get in line because they have an exhibition in 5 days and she says they're not ready.

"Ya'll acting like a bunch of idiots. This is why it takes us 2 hours to practice 1 routine," Dolores Davis said at the last practice.

Dolores tries to get the team members to come to practice because the have 45 students on the roster but only about 34 students show up. Dolores looses her mind every practice and she's often frustrated, but she keeps coming back.

STEP is a sport that's not a sport. Practice is required but it can be missed. Practices are full of chaos. Coach Davis doesn't make the members run like in football or have them doing structured and rigid practices. Still it's one of the most popular activities on campus.
